• Description

Charitable Giving as Viewed by Ukrainians in 2021 provides an analysis of the attitude of Ukrainians towards giving, an overview of key trends in the Ukrainian charity sector and identifies points of potential growth.

Every three years the Zagoriy Foundation conducts a similar research. While the last study was published in 2019, the consequences of the pandemic rapidly changed the landscape of charity and thus prompted the foundation to conduct its new study on the state of charity in Ukraine in 2021. In this new report, the results of a survey conducted in mid-2021 (by the Ukrainian Center for Public Opinion Research Sotsioinform commissioned by the Zagoriy Foundation) are compared to the 2019 respective data sets. The authors provide an in-depth analysis of how and why people engage (or don't engage) in charitable giving, with a particular focus on the attitude and trust towards charitable foundations.
